The ending was beautiful.

I Think I May Have Written too Much but: People are idiots

Two people tried to talk to me about how “Kanye West yelled at a man in a wheel chair to stand up at his show” And it literally made me sick because I had already seen the video where he so called yelled at this person. It made me sick that a person can just read a headline from any media outlet and some how be programmed to believe a certain thing or have a certain opinion. The first person sent me the story via text and I didn’t respond because I wasn’t going to put any energy into that situation. Another person asked me in person as part of his small talk. This guy has already expressed to me that he isn’t a fan of Kanye and I’m pretty sure everyone who knows me knows I’m a Kanye stan. I asked the guy if he saw the video and he said “no Kanye’s a douche, but I read the article.” I told him I didn’t want to have this conversation then if he didn’t see the video. But anyway he kept going on about the video so I had to make him realize how stupid he was for even bringing this headline up. First I let him know that every significant artist ever has probably told people to get out of there seats for a song (which he agreed to). It’s just part of the show and how shows are typically enjoyed. Second I let him know that he didn’t yell at the person he was speaking at a normal tone through the microphone. Third most important for Kanye is that he clearly says in the video (that he didn’t watch) that if you’re in a wheelchair or handicap then it’s fine to not stand up. Once everyone confirmed he was in a wheelchair he said okay and went on with the show. Fourth and most importantly and really what I’m disappointed about is that people can’t form their own opinions. Do we not know how to think for ourselves? Are our attention span so short that we just read a headline and not do further research? The media can never be trusted think for yourself. After I went off on him like that he was quiet and changed subjects. I can’t always defend my favorite artists music against someone else because that’s a matter of personal taste. This instance was more me defending a human being for the demonization of him as a person. I know Kanye has been an easy target for media to attack his whole career but don’t let people tell you what to think. Especially not the media.

"This picture of Morehouse graduates drenched in rain yesterday has surprisingly caused quite a stir. Many are saying it’s indicative of Morehouse not having the money or common decency to implement a rain plan. If you see that when you look at this picture, I’m going to politely take the liberty to call you a cynic. To me this picture symbolizes the journey that so many black men endure everyday of their lives as they face countless obstacles yet continue to pursue success with unwavering determination. It is cynical to ignore the fortitude and thirst for knowledge in these men’s eyes for an opportunity to knock/shade/read Morehouse. Rain can’t stop the House, & life’s obstacles won’t stop these men…”

I’m here for all of this.

Gave me chills.

Still one of my fav pics
